10/09/2023 - Cherryville welcomes our new city attorney, Yansea Hutchens Taylor, who is taking over from the retiring Palmer E. Huffstetler, Jr.  Taylor earned her law degree from the Charlotte School of Law in 2011.  She is the owner of Taylor Law and in addition to Cherryville, she has offices in Belmont, Kings Mountain, Shelby and Lincolnton.  A native of Hinton, WV, she and her family live in Kings Mountain.  In a recent Cherryville Eagle interview, Ms. Taylor said, “I’m honored to serve the citizens of Cherryville and to be a part of such a fantastic city.”

 

Admitted: 2011 to the NC Bar and 2011 to the Federal Bar for the Western District of North Carolina

Education:  Attended WVU until I was a sophomore, graduated from Concord University and attended Charlotte School of Law for my JD.

Memberships:  Member of Exodus Church. Board member of the Gaston Christian Board of Directors. Formerly the President of Alliance for Children and Youth in Gastonia.

Bar Associations: I am a member of the NC State Bar, the NC State Bar Association, and the Gaston County Bar.
